Empowering adult learners to invest in themselves
Facing a shrinking pool of high school students, Milwaukee Area Technical College is expanding efforts to reach a new prospective audience: returning adult learners. However, these young adults aren’t an easy sell. Juggling jobs, family, and financial concerns, going back to school feels risky. To reach them, MATC partnered with KW2 to create a brand and enrollment campaign, showing them they’re worth the investment.
Strengthening a warmer enrollment pipeline
KW2 developed a comprehensive campaign that tailored messaging to meet these prospects where they are: dreaming for their families, building new skills, and investing in their field. In just the first year and a half of partnership, KW2 supported a strong showing for FTEs in both summer and fall — and is currently pacing at 104% of the overall goal for the year. At an eight-year high, spring applications saw a 4% increase year-over-year and total FTEs jumped 7%. Paid media is a direct support for this uptick, delivering over 26MM impressions and seeing a near 200% increase in application clicks for only 20% of the cost.
